Working from home means never leaving your workplace.  You constantly seem to be reminded of that last phone call you need to make or the last spreadsheet that needs to be completed.  All of this can zap your energy levels considerably.  The good news is that you can reduce the number of times you feel too tired to accomplish your goals.

1.  Schedule breaks during your work schedule.  You can listen to your favorite song, go through your to-do list and add something like a movie with your spouse, flip through the latest catalog that just arrived in the mail, grab your iPhone or iTouch and play the latest application that you just downloaded, call your best friend, etc.  Short breaks are energy BOOSTERS.

2.  Drink your water!  You should drink 64 oz of water a day...that is 8 glasses of 8 oz each.  The best thing to do is keep a 32 oz cup by your desk and drink one in the morning and one in the afternoon to keep you on track.

3.  Eat a health lunch dominated by protein.  Pastas and heavy meals can weigh you down and make you unproductive.

4.  Learn to laugh.  Whether it is at your own mistakes or by watching your favorite sitcom on t.v.  Laughter is a great way to increase your well-being.

5.  Of course exercise!  Even just walking briskly 3 times a week for 20 minutes each will make a HUGE difference.

6.  Don't be afraid of a little cat nap in the afternoon.  Just 15 minutes will revitalize you.

7.  Get the right amount of sleep.  Working a home based business means you get to wear many hats.  At times, those roles get to be overwhelming and it makes it difficult to relax and sleep.  Get the right amount of sleep and you will achieve more!
